<p>Recentemente ho letto del<span style="color:#0000ff;"> nuovo Team di Ciclismo Inglese</span>: Hanno messo su una bella squadra e un sistema di selezione nazionale che parte sino dai Giovanissimi. In Italia stanno nascendo alcune realtà come <span style="color:#0000ff;"><a href="http://emiliaromagnagroup.wordpress.com/">http://emiliaromagnagroup.wordpress.com/</a> (vedi post)</span> ma gli Inglesi hanno cercato di mettere giù le basi a partire dalla Federazione Nazionale, da noi come al solito, tutto viene lasciato all’iniziativa volontaria di alcuni privati che ci mettono molto della loro passione. Spero che ciò serva a tutti per fare alcune riflessioni a livello di investimenti sul ciclismo nazionale.</p>
<p>Ho raccolto in giro alcune informazioni che pubblico così come le ho trovate:</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Nasce il team BSkyB. Obiettivo: vincere il Tour</strong></span></p>
<p>Dal 2010 la nuova squadra prenderà ufficialmente parte alle corse. Con sede a Manchester sarà composta da 25 corridori: <span style="color:#0000ff;">Mark Cavendish (forse) probabile capitano.</span> In 5 anni si punterà alla conquista della Grande Boucle.</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Nella squadra si parlera&#8217; inglese, ma le bici saranno italiane</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#0000ff;">(ANSA) &#8211; ROMA, 9 OTT</span> &#8211; Sara&#8217; probabilmente uno dei team protagonisti della prossima stagione ciclistica il Team Sky costituito da James Murdoch, figlio del tycoon delle tv Rupert. Sono 16 finora i nomi rivelati dei ciclisti della nuova squadra, gli altri saranno annunciati in futuro. Ai sei corridori britannici &#8211; Geraint Thomas, Steve Cummings, Pete Kennaugh, Chris Froome, Ian Standard e Russel Downing &#8211; si sono aggiunti dieci ciclisti internazionali: Edvald Boasson Hagen, Thomas Lovkvist, Kurt Arvesen, Simon Gerrans, Juan Antonio Flecha, Kjell Carlstrom, John Lee Augustyn, Greg Henderson, Lars Setter Nordhaug e Morris Possoni. La squadra iniziale di 25 uomini verra&#8217; seguita da un team di allenatori, tecnici e staff di supporto, che provengono dal mondo del ciclismo, molti dei quali lavorano per tutto l&#8217;anno con ciclisti britannici d&#8217;elite ed emergenti.</p>
<p>Il Team Sky gareggera&#8217; dall&#8217;inizio del 2010, iniziando con il Tour Down Under, e spera di guadagnare il diritto di partecipare al Tour de France del prossimo anno. Ma se la lingua ufficiale sara&#8217; l&#8217;inglese, non manchera&#8217; qualcosa di italiano nella neonata squadra di ciclismo professionistico. Saranno infatti prodotte dalla Pinarello le biciclette che useranno.</p>
<p>Il Team Sky ha annunciato oggi a Londra di aver raggiunto un accordo per una collaborazione tecnica triennale con la <span style="color:#ff0000;"><a href="http://www.pinarello.com/"><strong>Cicli Pinarello</strong></a> </span>di Treviso, 8 volte vincitrice del Tour con le sue biciclette. L&#8217;annuncio segue di pochi giorni quello del riconoscimento ufficiale della licenza Pro Tour UCI alla squadra.</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>British Cycling move to aid GB cycling team</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Prompted by its unprecedented growth, British Cycling is temporarily moving some of its operations out of the Manchester Velodrome to a nearby business park – so the GB cycling team can concentrate on vital preparations for London 2012.</strong></span></p>
<p>All departments apart from the GB Cycling Team will relocate to a temporary office for 18 months, enabling GB Cycling Team coaches, athletes and support staff to <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">optimize the space within at the Manchester Velodrome and create a world-class environment for elite performance (Ambiente e infrastrutture Internazionali d’elite) as they prepare for the 2012 London Olympic and </span><span style="color:#ff0000;">Paralympic Games.</span></strong></p>
<p>The entire British Cycling operation will be reunited in 2011 when the <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">National Indoor BMX Centre (Centro Indoor di BMX Nazionale !)</span> </strong> is completed next to the Manchester Velodrome, with new purpose built British Cycling offices linking the two venues.</p>
<p>This improved National Cycling Centre will benefit from <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>new public spaces and outdoor freestyle cycling</strong> <strong>areas to form one of the UK’s first Veloparks. (Programma nazionale dei Veloparks pubblici).</strong></span></p>
<p>When complete, the National Indoor BMX Centre, <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>the world’s first purpose built indoor BMX track</strong><strong>(prima pista mondiale coperta BMX) </strong></span> , will help further integrate the GB Cycling Team and improve preparations for London 2012.</p>
<p>Capable of seating <strong>2,000 spectators</strong>, it will help bring major cycling events to the city and open its doors to local schools, clubs and community. Subject to funding and planning approval, work on the scheme will start at the beginning of 2010.</p>
<p>To help the transition, the following British Cycling departments will be temporarily relocated: Cycle Sport and Membership; Coaching, Education and Development; Recreation and Partnerships; Marketing and Communications; Corporate Services and Facilities.</p>
<p><span style="color:#0000ff;">Ian Drake, CEO at British Cycling said: “This temporary move will enable the GB Cycling Team to expand within the Manchester Velodrome and take full advantage of this <em>superb training facility</em>, aiding athlete preparations for London 2012.</span></p>
<p>“Today we employ <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>over 200 staff</strong> </span>and the organisation is continuing to grow as we expand into new areas such <em>as recreational cycling</em>. The move will enable us to meet the needs of our staff and ensure that we can operate effectively until our new offices are built at the heart of the National Cycling Centre.</p>
<p>“The National Indoor BMX Centre is yet another ambitious project that will help assert Britain as the number one cycling nation in the world. Its development will be possible thanks to the exceptional support of our partners – Manchester City Council, New East Manchester and Sport England – who share our vision to turn Britain into a cycling nation.”</p>

<p>Great Britain Cycling Team Olympic Programmes</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong><strong>The Programmes</strong></strong></span></p>
<p><strong><strong>Olympic Podium Programme </strong></strong>- Riders in this programme are expected to be seasoned world-class performers with a track record of success at the highest level. Athletes are full-time on the programme and generally based near the team&#8217;s Manchester HQ. <p><strong><strong>Olympic Academy Programme </strong></strong>- riders aged typically 18 to 23 and exceptional athletes with the clear potential to become world-class performers. <p><strong><strong>Olympic Development Programme</strong></strong> &#8211; riders aged typically 16 to 18, who are already experienced and focused on a career in professional cycling. The programme aims to add technical experience, including experience of preparing for major (junior) championships, plus conditioning. <p><strong>Olympic Talent Team Programme</strong></p>
<p>If you are a youth rider ambitious for success in any Olympic discipline in the sport of cycling, and you think you have what it takes to make it to the Olympic podium, then the Olympic Talent Programme would like to hear from you.</p>
<p>The Talent Programme is regionally based for both coaches and riders. Talent Programme riders are typically aged from 13 to 17 years old, and they all have the ambition of making it onto an Olympic podium . The Talent Programme&#8217;s coaches have the skill, enthusiasm, imagination and commitment to help to develop riders with the goal of making them ready for the next step of the pathway; the Olympic Development Programme.</p>
<p><strong><strong>What does the Talent Programme offer?</strong></strong><br />
The Talent Programme coaches are amongst the best in the country, with the skills and experience to be able to identify the areas where a young rider most needs to improve to challenge for the top. The Talent Programme coaches are well placed to provide opportunities and coaching support for riders to then develop in those areas.</p>
<p>The Talent Programme coaches know exactly what the coaches in the older age group programmes (Olympic Development Programme, Olympic Academy Programme) are looking for from a young rider and are well placed <strong>to assist a rider in gaining the skills &amp; fitness</strong> required to compete for a place in the next step to the Olympic podium.</p>

<em><em>What does being in one of the Squads involve? </em></em><br />
The answer to this is very much age dependant.</p>
<p><strong>In the Talent Programme from 13 to 16 years old, you will be assigned a coach who will prescribe training and racing to fit around your education. You&#8217;ll need to commit to completing and returning a training diary and attending approximately 4 camps of 4 to 7 days during the year (in school holiday time). Opportunities may also arise to race overseas. (…pure all’estero !).</strong></p>
<p>In the Olympic Development Programme for junior riders, 16 to 18 years old, you will be coached by a discipline specific coach, again you&#8217;ll have a training and racing schedule set around your educational needs, and need to commit to completing and returning regular training diaries. Residential camps are held in school holidays, and there are opportunities to represent Great Britain internationally</p>
<p>In the U23 Academy Programme riders normally commit to full time residential focussed training. Many of the disciplines have their base in Manchester, with the men&#8217;s road riders also having a summer base in Italy. Riders still completing A levels can be considered, and a non-residential programme can in some circumstances be put in place by the Academy coach.</p>
<p>In the Podium Programme, riders receive all the coaching, equipment, clothing needed to be a professional rider, racing predominantly internationally, but living independently and responsible for their own training programmes.</p>
<p><em><em>I was wondering if there was a junior GB team and how I could join?</em></em><br />
The Olympic Development Programme aims to develop junior riders to the level where they will be competitive internationally. <em>Each year European Championships and / or World Championships teams are selected to represent Great Britain on merit. Selection for such teams is carried out looking at riders prowess in competition &#8211; National series events, Revolution events etc.</em></p>

<p>“EMILIA ROMAGNA – bicicletta e ciclismo” è un’idea nata dalla sinergia di due amici, professionisti nel ciclismo, pensata a favore del ciclismo giovanile della loro regione.<br />
Nasce da una forse esagerata passione per questo sport. Uno sport che crediamo sia in grado di insegnare principi sani che possono avere risvolti concreti per la crescita fisica e soprattutto morale di chi lo pratica. Abbiamo quindi preparato un piano, fatto preventivi ed analizzato tutte le opportunità e fattibilità. Un progetto a favore della bicicletta e del ciclismo a 360°, che condivideremo con un gruppo di amici, ricco di messaggi forti come trasparenza, concretezza e progettualità e importanti come disponibilità, collaborazione e correttezza.<br />
Sono previste due sezioni:<br />
<strong>”Bicicletta” </strong>: si occuperà della promozione all’uso della bicicletta, delle manifestazioni ludiche e propagandistiche. Promuoverà incontri e dibattiti sui temi dell’alimentazione, della preparazione, dell’organizzazione e della sicurezza.<br />
<strong>“Ciclismo” </strong>: si occuperà dell’ agonismo con tutte le categorie giovanili coinvolte nelle provincie della regione. Così come sarà collaborativa nelle organizzazioni delle gare anche nelle specialità fuoristrada.<br />
Questo progetto ha lo scopo di avvicinare giovani e meno giovani all’uso della bicicletta per cicloturismo, come mezzo ecologico di trasporto, svago e benessere fisico.<br />
E per chi vuole praticare l’agonismo, offrire la possibilità di una crescita attenta ed impostata ai valori della lealtà sportiva, senza la ricerca del risultato ad ogni costo, con l’obiettivo di poter arrivare alla professione sportiva in una società di conterranei.<br />
I giovani avranno la possibilità di trovare società vicino a casa e non essere “obbligati” ad abbandonare la scuola e stare lontano dalla famiglia, trasferendosi come spesso accade, in società fuori regione.<br />
E’ un progetto dedicato al rilancio del ciclismo, che si pone l’obiettivo di avere un centinaio di giovani, nati o residenti in regione, con gli stessi colori, sponsor e materiali, tutto prodotto e fornito da aziende Emiliano Romagnole.<br />
Per l’attività Internazionale e quindi il grande palcoscenico pubblicitario, in futuro ci sarà la squadra di professionisti, che diverrà l’obiettivo dei giovani cresciuti nelle nostre squadre, premio del loro impegno, dei sacrifici, dei loro sogni e dei loro meriti.</p>

<h2><strong>A propósito de bicicletas … y de Rocinante (Fernando Buen Abad Domínguez)</strong></h2>
<p>Rocinante es la paloma ecuestre de un loco que ama los brillos de su armadura. Rocinante es una paloma ecuestre que se disfraza de bicicleta para despertar al niño que llevamos acurrucado en la memoria. Rocinante paloma y bicicleta ecuestre, instrumento de viento que toca Piazzolla con las manos entre fuelles de pasión y locura fresca. ¿Qué más podemos pedir? Anda por las plazas entre la algarabía que es canción secreta para salvar las esperanzas, las verdades más profundas y las ganas de vivir felices. Anda este rocinante, paloma y bicicleta de un lado a otro, vuelta y vuelta sobre el carrusel de la existencia haciendo aire invisible, cada vez que pasa, para que los locos inflen globos transparentes y destellos renovados. Anda a la vuelta y vuelta, este rocinante bicicleta y paloma sin repetir un giro, anda como hipnotizado con la fascinación de la luz, la voz y los colores que tanto loco cabalgante tira al aire mientras llena la atmósfera de esperanza. ¿Qué le vamos a hacer? Esta es su misión verdadera, su tarea suprema, su ser y su esencia. Caballo con pedales y alas, caballo con ruedas y sin rodeos, caballo de acero y pies de hule, empeñado en llevarnos de aquí para allá por los caminos de su locura resucitadora.<strong> Loco de atar sin ataduras. Caballo de manubrios caprichosos y corazón de lentejuelas. <p>Ieri ho ritirato la Langster London, dopo aver trovato un accordo col venditore manazza sul prezzo.<br />
E&#8217; molto bella, e meno pacchiana (tacky, please) di quel che credevo: lo e&#8217; solo se la guardi da vicino&#8230;<br />
E&#8217; abbasta leggera, stabile e con un rapporto (unico) alla fine usabile anche su salite non esagerate, il cavalcavia si fa anche da fermo e a freddo senza particolari patimenti, anche se scendendo poi si frulla parecchio.<br />
Curva bene e anche in rotonda e&#8217; stabile e &quot;piega&quot; con sicurezza, pare meglio della bici da corsa, senza la nervosita&#8217; tipica delle geometrie da pista, segno che da pista in realta&#8217; non e&#8217;.<br />
Meglio, peccato solo che pare un po&#8217; bassa di pedali e ho toccato un paio di volte col tallone.<br />
Il bellissimo manubrio, da pista, ha qualche trascurabile difetto: e&#8217; inusabile, pericoloso e impedisce di frenare correttamente, quest&#8217;ultimo difetto mitigato dal fatto che 1)tanto non frena 2)comunque se freni ti schiacci le dita<br />
Ai lati dell&#8217;attacco piega verso il basso, quindi la presa alta e&#8217; talmente ravvicinata all&#8217; attacco (bellissimo, con incisione al laser) che e&#8217; come avere un manubrio di 15 cm.<br />
Per motivi di schiena, panza e dignita&#8217; la presa bassa e&#8217; inutilizzabile, anche perche&#8217; le manopole hanno una zigrinatura fitta e appuntita da fachiro e le posizioni classiche al manubrio, larga e sui freni, sono impossibili semplicemente perche&#8217; quando metti li&#8217; le mani, istintivamente, trovi l&#8217;aria e se ti va bene sembri uno che piglia le farfalle, se va male entri nel baule del Suv di turno.<br />
La prima cosa da cambiare, senz&#8217;altro.<br />
Presa per uso urbano/commuter l&#8217;ho usata ieri sera per andare in piscina e a parte l&#8217;assenza dei fanali (ha due catarifrangenti, davanti e dietro, prima cosa da aggiungere) va bene, anche se in 1,8 km -vestito- sono arrivato sudato come se avessi scalato il Galibier.</p>

<p>Il vero paradiso del ciclista è un luogo dove le strade non sono pericolose, sono poco trafficate, e presentano pendenze e dislivelli. L&#8217;Appennino reggiano è una sintesi di tutto ciò: offre quanto di meglio un cicloamatore possa pensare, all&#8217;interno di una natura verdissima e di una storia particolarmente interessante. Prendendo come meta della nostra vacanza Castelnovo ne&#8217; Monti, percorerremo cinque itinerari &#8220;a margherita&#8221; estremamente vari.</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Castelnovo, Vetto d’Enza, Currada, Trinità, Ciano d’Enza, Canossa, Quattro Castella, Puianello, Castelnovo (circa 97 km) </strong></span><br />
Da Castelnovo (ca. m 650 slm) andiamo in direzione Vetto d’Enza (447 m), a picco sull’omonimo torrente, che dista una decina di kilometri.Le poche contropendenze ci serviranno per scaldare un po’ i muscoli.<br />
Seguiamo la Val d’Enza in discesa fino a Currada e svoltiamo a destra per Trinità. Da Trinità proseguiamo, ridiscendendo per Cerezzola e da qui per Ciano d’Enza, ove nella piazzetta c’è una provvidenziale fontana. Svoltiamo a destra in direzione Canossa e raggiungiamo il castello dopo una serie di tornanti che ci fanno salire di qualche centinaio di metri.<br />
La salita non è dura ma continua. Da Canossa proseguiamo per Quattro Castella dove si può ammirare, su di uno dei quattro colli, il castello di Bianello, residenza della Contessa Matilde di Canossa. Da Quattro Castella a Puianello sono una decina di kilometri in cui potrete recuperare le due salite precedenti. Arrivati a Puianello svoltiamo a destra in direzione Castelnovo e svolteremo nuovamente dopo un paio di kilometri prendendo per Pecorile.<br />
Qui arriveremo dopo circa otto km di fondovalle in leggerissima salita. Dai 705 metri di quota della Stella scendiamo a Casina e da qui procediamo, in leggera ma continua salita, per Castelnovo.</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Castelnovo, Ramiseto, Vetto, Castelnovo (circa 45 km)</strong></span><br />
Un piccolo anello di poche decine di kilometri. Dall’abitato si sale in direzione La Spezia per 8,5 km: è importante iniziare agili per scaldare i motori in quanto, appena usciti dal paese, la strada prende a salire a tornanti per portarci agli oltre mille metri dello Sparavalle.<br />
Raggiungiamo un bivio: si va verso Ramiseto (km 7,5) su strada articolata con prevalente discesa e da qui, con alternati saliscendi, in direzione Vetto (km 16,5), ci raccordiamo alla n. 513 che prenderemo per rientrare in direzione Castelnovo. Sulla statale troveremo salite non impegnative alternate a brevi discese: in una decina di kilometri “mordiamo” oltre quattrocento metri di dislivello.</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Castelnovo, Felina, Villa Minozzo, Toano, Valestra, Viano, Regnano Cigarello, Castelnovo (circa 106 km) </strong></span><br />
Si parte da Castelnovo in direzione Reggio Emilia e poco prima dell’abitato di Felina (6 km) si volta a destra in direzione Villa Minozzo. Dopo 7 km di discesa e 7 di salita per oltre trecento metri di dislivello si raggiunge Villa Minozzo e da qui, dopo 16 km, Toano.<br />
La salita non è assolutamente finita, anzi&#8230; 11 km di discesa fino al torrente Secchia e si prende nuovamente a salire raggiungendo i 700 metri di quota dell’abitato di Valestra. Da qui a Baiso la strada è pianeggiante e segue la costa del monte. Dallo scollinamento di Valestra ci sono circa 16 km di complessiva discesa fino a Viano.<br />
Qui si svolta a sinistra in direzione Regnano (circa 8 km), si supera un piccolo scollinamento e poi nuovamente in discesa, per pochi minuti, fino al borgo di Tabiano. Si riprende a salire per poco, ma con due tornanti da fare rabbrividire.<br />
A Regnano si svolta nuovamente a sinistra e si seguono le indicazioni per Carpineti. Al termine di una lunga e veloce discesa, in località Cigarello (10 km da Regnano) si svolta ad angolo retto a destra e si sale sulla variante che porta alla statale n. 63. Lo strappo è breve ma molto intenso. Ormai sulla statale non rimane che raggiungere il punto di partenza.</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Castelnovo, Monteduro, Cervarezza, Collagna, Ramiseto, Vetto d’Enza, Castelnovo (circa 73 km) </strong></span><br />
Da Castelnovo Monti pedaliamo verso il passo del Cerreto: si sale subito ai mille metri di Monteduro per ridiscendere leggermente verso Cervarezza. Il panorama è stupendo: a sinistra la Pietra di Bismantova, davanti lo spartiacque appenninico con le sue creste di duemila metri.<br />
Proseguiamo per Collagna sulla statale n. 63 che a mezza costa guadagna lentamente quota con tormentate curve e repentini saliscendi. A Collagna svoltiamo a destra (siamo al 22? kilometro) per Ramiseto. Scolliniamo verso una discesa bruciante a stretti tornanti dal cui fondo dobbiamo ben guardarci.<br />
Dalla fine della grande discesa a Ramiseto la strada segue la morfologia del paesaggio con lievi discese e salite lunghe e leggere. Da Ramiseto a Vetto d’Enza si hanno circa 300 metri di dislivello in salita, e i frequenti saliscendi fanno lavorare l’altimetro in modo più che soddisfacente. Poco prima di Vetto, un incrocio in leggera salita con brusca svolta a destra (il medesimo dell’itinerario n. 2) riporta in direzione Castelnovo Monti che raggiungeremo con altri 300 metri di salita per poco meno di 15 km.</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Castelnovo, S. Polo d’Enza, Pontenovo, Quattro Castella, Puianello, Il Bocco, Castelnovo (circa 82 km) </strong></span><br />
Come ultima proposta scegliamo un percorso piuttosto disteso per sciogliere un po’ le gambe impegnate da alcuni giorni in modo non indifferente. Da Castelnovo andiamo verso Vetto d’Enza e da qui a S. Polo d’Enza. Saranno lunghe e veloci discese in cui le gambe di certo non si scalderanno.Proseguendo da S. Polo in direzione Reggio Emilia troveremo dopo alcuni kilometri, in località Pontenovo, un incrocio nel quale svolteremo a destra per la pieve della Madonna della Battaglia.<br />
La strada, anche se breve, ci impegna in una salita non indifferente. Al termine della salita, giunti ad un bivio di fronte ad un piccolo caseificio, voltiamo a sinistra; sorpassiamo la pieve e scendiamo per Quattro Castella. Giunti in paese voltiamo a destra e procediamo diritto per una decine di kilometri fino all’abitato di Puianello.<br />
Voltiamo nuovamente a destra seguendo le indicazioni per La Spezia coprendo i 34 km che ci separano dal punto di partenza. La salita è delicata e continua fino a località Il Bocco, dopodiché la pendenza aumenta quando si prende la strada vecchia per Casina (bivio a sinistra dopo Il Bocco).<br />
Scollinamento con bevuta nella fontana in piazza e prosecuzione immediata: dopo una brevissima discesa si sale nuovamente per scollinare ancora qualche kilometro dopo. Ormai in vista della Pietra di Bismantova (sicuro riferimento visivo), la strada si distende. La salita riprende per pochissimo concludendo in due tornanti presso l’abitato di Castelnovo.</p>

Dove mangiare. A Quattro Castella, a pochi metri dalla piazza principale, una trattoria che offre una vasta scelta di piatti padani: trattoria “Dei quattro colli”, piazza Dante Alighieri 3, tel. 0522/887640; oppure a Ramiseto, una osteria di montagna ai piedi dell’Alpe di Succiso: “L’Andrella”, strada provinciale, Ramiseto, tel. 0522/892202, chiuso il mercoledì.</p>
